Qavavau is the biological son of Pudalik Shaa and Its Pudlat, raised by his late grandfather, Axangayuk Shaa.

Qavavau learned carving at the age of 13. It was quiet impressive how he progressed in his first year.

He preferes carving bears, either walking or dancing, but he is mainly famous for his Inukshuks. Is largest work was an Inukshuk 21" high x 11" wide.
