David (Davie) Simigak

David Simigak is the son of the late Eelee Simagaq, and Nikotai Simigak, both Cape Dorset carvers. His grandparents, the late Jamasie and Angotigolu Teevee, were graphic artists. David started carving in the early 1980s, and prefers arctic wildlife as his subjects. He is married, with one child.
