Tasitjua used to be mining place but there’s no more so he get them at the main mining place Qullisajanniavik.

Additional Information:

Lucassie is no longer active in carving, only once in while. Ever since he was 10 to 12 years old he has been out hunting for country food, everyday some people gets food from his house. Sometimes he announces through radio that people can get seal food at his place. Lucassie Takatak have two awards for helping out people. Community Government Week 1993, for certificate of appreciation, and Qikiqtani Inuit Association, a Recognition Award for his past dedication, hard work and exellent service to the Inuit of the Baffin Region. He hasn’t been out hunting since his skidoo broke down this winter of 2005. Takatak was born in Belcher Islands.
